es dauerte ein wenig bis wir uns von der idee entfernten, dass unsere städte als schaltkreise organisiert sind, dass unsere leben als diagramme darstellbar sind. – in ironische kaltschnäuzigkeit zeigt uns die wahre welt, dass sie in jeder ebene eine endlose anzahl weitere ebenen bereithält. die zusammenhänge und das dazwischen bringt uns um den verstand. – doch wem wenden wir uns zu? der mathematik die in einem hilflosen versuch die selbstähnlichkeit aus dem hut zauber um uns weiss zu machen, dass es am ende vielleicht doch alles berechenbar bleibt? uns selbst? das wäre egozentrisch und falsch, denn auch hier wirft sich der verstand dagegen und widerspricht uns indem er sagt, dass die dinge auch ganz schön ohne unsere anwesenheit existieren und interagieren. die religion in ihrer selbstreferenziellen pixie-buch argumentation? wohl eher nicht. – auch wenn es eskapistisch und nach dem ‘easy way out’ klingt, bleiben doch zuverlässig die gleichgültigkeit und der wahnsinn als option. und wenn wir uns auch davon befreit haben bleibt mindestens noch die extrovertierte introversion der künstlerischen äusserung: machen, ausstellen und nachdenken. diese zeichnet sich in erster linie durch eine merkwürdige hass-liebe zur naturwisschaft, einer bewunderung der philosophie und einer verachtung gegenüber dem kaptial, an dessen zitze sie hängt, aus. in diesem wolkigen bis spannungsreichen konstrukt findet das diagrammatische objekt statt.

in terms of analogies i always found the traffic light at a pedestrian crossing with its button i am supposed to push and my sense of empowerment in a state-sized democratic system, quite intriguing.

I am intrigued by the notion of the invisible. There a two categories of the invisible the virtual and the physical. the physical is actually only invisble to our senses although it is physically there. the virtual is the remaining rest and only visible through mediated translation.
