Ad-Hoc Public Display
a public display that is comprised of as many mobile devices as a available. it works as follows:
- there are two kinds of apps: client and controller
- one installs controller app, the rest installs the client app
- people with client apps hold their phone up into the air, facing the person with the controller app
- the controller app then makes every client app flash sequentially to calibrate and position clients in space
- once calibrated controller app can send structured flashing commands to clients to e.g display texts or show videos
- as long as clients stand still the messages will be displayed more or less undistorted. as soon as clients start to move the display will get warped
