Changing The Aesthetics of Things
digitally fabricated things look ugly. the main issue about digitally fabricated things is that they look ugly to us. being the reconfigurable beings we are, it is a designers obligation to aggressively change the appearence of things, but not in a sense that fabbed things should look more beautiful but in a sense that we manipulate us into liking the fabbed things as they are. this is the first necessary step in the post-industrial revolution. the question here is: how do we manipulate our selfs into liking ugly things? it happened before it will happen again.
placebos for changing the beautiful and desirable.
