digitally fabricated things look ugly. the main issue about digitally fabricated things is that they look ugly to us. being the reconfigurable beings we are, it is a designers obligation to aggressively change the appearence of things, but not in a sense that fabbed things should look more beautiful but in a sense that we manipulate us into liking the fabbed things as they are. this is the first necessary step in the post-industrial revolution. the question here is: how do we manipulate our selfs into liking ugly things? it happened before it will happen again.
