what if design as a discipline is about creating somthing for other people while art is about creating somthing out of a personal interest, curiosity, or need? one thing this proposal would clearly imply is that an individiual person with the capabilities and interests to create ( however they are motivated ) can easily be a designer sometimes and an artist at other times ( or non of the former ). neither design nor art is a person.
