text-based graphic simulation
this is an idea for a game that uses a graphic engine ( like a virtual world ) to simulate an environment ( like in a common FPS game ). with the only twist that the output is text-based, like in an oldtime MUD. from another perspective this game can be understood as a whatsapp clone with an environment ( like second life ).
technically the concept is realized by a scene-to-text engine that queries all visible objects in a scene and translates them into text: "you see a yellow wall infront of you. to your left is a green door. a black rabbit stares at you."
- anni suggest to center the game s narrative around a cute monster for which she can produce merchandize articles.
- maybe the player is allowed an occasional brief glance into the visual representation of the world.
- maybe the game operates in real time so that players need to act and write fast.
- maybe there can be multiple users in the world with whom the player can communicate, like in a whatsapp chat, except that the system also offers descriptions of the environment and objects to interact with. eg: see example conversation
